Air Columbus is a fictional airline based in Ohio, the airline is now based off Skybus Airlines, and Comair
In January 17, 1965 the airline started as Columbus Air Lines, based in Port Columbus International Airport, (that’s known as John Glenn Columbus International Airport now) their fleet consist of small aircraft, mostly operating convair CV 580s, Douglas DC-3 and DC-4. They were mostly a regional airline, they were mostly sailing smooth. Because over their business strategy, they were able to make a lot of money. And in a few years, they purchased their first jetliner, the Boeing 737-200. It was now their main steamed aircraft. They retired the Douglas, DC-3 and DC-4. One year later. They still operated their CV 580s. They also purchased five 727-100s. They weren’t as famous though. In 1983, they purchased 10 Boeing 757-200s in 1988, They changed their name to Air Columbus. this was now their most favorite and most aircraft. In 1992, they purchased a hub at CLE (Cleveland Hopkins International Airport) which allowed for much larger planes for them to buy
